Pre Conference News in Brief – New IGeLU Website

It’s almost there!

Dear colleagues,
The 10^th anniversary conference is approaching fast and soon we will meet in the beautiful city of Budapest. The conference will take place at the high-tech building of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and will be organized together with the Library and Information Centre (MTAK) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the University Library of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and the Library of the Hungarian Parliament. During our meeting with the extremely dedicated organizing team in March we were impressed by the city and the location alike.

Adjacent to the conference, IGeLU organizes for the first time the so called Developers Day where customer developers exchange their knowledge and ideas for local developments upon the Ex Libris tools we use. Meanwhile around 85 colleagues have registered for the workshop and I am sure it will be an exciting experience to bring all these skilled people together.

Besides the “business” there will be a lot room for networking, especially during the two social events; a reception at the Parliament building on Tuesday September 1 and a river trip on the boat ‘Táncsics’ on Thursday September 3.

Looking very much forward to see many of you in Budapest!
