Dear Reader,
I bring you the last edition of the News-in Brief newsletter for the year of 2020. As 2020 winds down, we can’t help but wonder how 2021 will be for us. We’ve had an unusual year, full of highs and lows, and in a situation that most of us had never been in.
As the holiday season unfolds, COVID-19 has impacted everything from how our children play and learn to how we show love to family and friends, to how we work and spend our free time. This pandemic has brought many challenges and frustrations, and for some, grief.
The pandemic has shaken the world in many ways. As the holidays near, it is an opportunity to be mindful of the ways in which we can help ourselves, our families, and our communities, to stay safe. With the upcoming holiday season, there are still activities we can enjoy, and we may appreciate these activities even more. With the changes in our lives, this is a wonderful chance to reimagine new holiday traditions.
Best wishes from the IGeLU Steering Committee, for a safe and wonderful holiday season, to you and yours.
