News in Brief – August 2018

Dear Readers,

We are just a few days away from the start of the next exciting instalment of the annual IGeLU conference. Set in picturesque Prague, this conference promises to deliver numerous opportunities to learn, share and network with industry peers and colleagues. As the event draws closer, hear from the Conference Chair, Tracey Clarke, a very quick update on the highlights and the events to watch out for. Read about the amendments to the Statute, from the current IGeLU Chair, Theo Engelman, as a means to ensure that IGeLU remains flexible and adaptive to the expanding community of users.

This News-in-Brief is also packed with posts on significant happenings from the various working groups. The working group coordinators share activities from the last few months as well as their plans for future initiatives. If you are attending the conference, please do drop by the open working group business meetings and share your ideas and opinions with the people who work directly with Ex Libris for the community, the WG Coordinators.

And last but not least, the annual conference is an opportunity to have any questions you may have on ExLibris products and services, answered by ExLibris senior management. The questions will be anonymized so do make use of this opportunity to submit your questions that you feel would be relevant to the community.
