News In Brief – April 2017

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the very first News-In-Brief for 2017. There has been a number of exciting activities happening in the user community over the past few months and we are delighted to share some of the key happenings in this edition. As is the tradition every year, the Steering Committee visits the Conference venue in March to hold its spring meetings with ExLibris Senior Management as well as meet with the local program planning committee to ensure the venue meets with the needs of the Conference. Theo Engelman (Chair, IGeLU Steering Committee) and Naomi Greidinger (Chair, Conference Planning Committee) share some key insights from these visits. In addition, Carl Grant (University of Oklahoma Libraries) will soon be running a series of short write-ups on Leganto implementations across NA Libraries. This NiB carries a short teaser of the series. Check the website regularly for the upcoming series on Leganto implementations -challenges and successes, to be published very soon. In this edition, our spotlight is also on a few SIWG’s  who have been very active in their own areas.  Last, but not least, its the Annual Membership Renewal exercise time, so please do not forget to renew your membership and continue to enjoy the collaborative spirit of an engaged user community.
